Lumière for schools

The Lumière for Schools educational project focuses on providing educational and leisure-time film programs for primary and secondary schools, after-school clubs, and children’s centers. Kino Lumière aims to offer schools film screenings tailored to the age and interests of students, helping to deepen their relationship with culture and cinema. We assist in selecting suitable films for age groups ranging from 6 to 19 years.

We offer schools:

  • School screenings

  • School screenings with expert introductions by film lecturers

  • Film Cabinet for Children – a workshop on animated film that introduces children to the basics of film narration and animation (designed for younger pupils, primary school level)

Our program selection is drawn from the archival collections of the Slovak Film Institute (e.g., classic Slovak fairy tales), contemporary European films for children and youth, and current family film releases distributed by Slovak film distributors.

How does it work?

Choose your preferred date, time, and screening room, and contact Anna Lazor (lazor.lumiere@gmail.com, kinolumiere@sfu.sk). She will discuss available options and the most suitable program type for your group.
