The aim of the LUX Audience Award is to promote European creativity and diversity in the current economic and social crisis aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is indeed threatening art, culture and cinema. Admission is free ,screening is followed by Q&A with filmmakers in English. The event is realized thanks to cooperation of European Parliament, European Commission, Creative Europe - MEDIA programme and Europa Cinemas.

In post-war Germany, the main character Hans repeatedly finds himself in prison for being gay. His sexual orientation violates section 175 of the German Criminal Code, so his desire for freedom is systematically destroyed. The one steady relationship in his life becomes his long time cell mate, Viktor, a convicted murderer. What starts in revulsion grows to something called love.
