Mikrób a Gasoil, Tri spomienky, Len 17, Život Adèle, Raw, Mať sedemnásť, Čosi je vo vzduchu, 17 dievčat
Dejiny francúzskej kinematografie sú plné filmov o detstve a dospievaní, tom kľúčovom období, kedy sa utvára plnohodnotná ľudská bytosť. Z tých najväčších klasík stačí spomenúť Trojku z mravov Jeana Viga, Nikto ma nemá rád Françoisa Truffauta či Zazie v metre Louisa Malla. Tvorcovia sa však k týmto motívom vracajú aj v súčasných filmoch, a to v rôznych podobách a žánrových náladách. Mikrób a Gasoil je napríklad citlivý pohľad na priateľstvo dvoch vyvrheľov, ktorí sa vydajú na prázdninovú dobrodružnú púť. V Troch spomienkach Arnaud Desplechin ponúka pohľad na dospievanie hrdinov svojho staršieho filmu Učená hádka alebo Môj pohlavný život. V istom ohľade tak vstupuje do dialógu s Truffautovou sériou filmov o Antoinovi Doinelovi (začatou práve Nikto ma nemá rád), ktorá tiež sleduje dospievanie (a premeny citového života) mladíka až do zrelého veku. Aj keď nepoznáte Desplechinov starší film, Tri spomienky sú príjemným obzretím sa za prvými láskami. „Provokatér“ François Ozon aj v Len 17 otvoril pikantnejšiu tému, pričom distribučný názov jeho filmu čo-to napovie v tomto ohľade. Abdellatif Kechiche zase v Živote Adèle zaťal do živého a priniesol na plátno príbeh vášnivej (možno až šialenej) lásky dvoch mladých žien, ktorej stojí v ceste okrem iného aj odlišnosť ich sociálnej „príslušnosti“. Dospievanie nie je vždy ľahké a radostné, a hoci sa niekedy za ním obzeráme ako za obdobím bezstarostnosti, keď sme ešte nemali žiadne zásadné problémy, uvádzané filmy nám ukazujú, že mladí ľudia sa často musia pasovať s rôznymi trápeniami, na ktoré sme už možno medzičasom zabudli...
